In the early spring, I saw where a miniature breeder that I followed on Facebook had had her first foal of the spring. He was quite a cutie. I loved seeing her pictures and videos of him. I was kinda hooked on him but I knew most, if not all, of Lisa's babies were spoken for in advance of their births. After a couple of days, Lisa posted a video of him and said that he was available. I decided this was a God wink. I reached out to Lisa and we had a great convo. I prayed and talked to my family about it. I put a deposit on him and things just started to fall into place. I asked Lisa to let me know if she or anyone she knew had another baby available and two weeks later she messaged me that she had a new filly born at midnight. She was gorgeous. I put a deposit on her. They are half siblings. They both have blue eyes and a white blaze off-center on their faces. Their daddy is pictured below in the middle.

At seven days old, Huckleberry had his first snow experience. And, it's probably his last since he's going to be a coastal baby come September!

Huckleberry had his first experience with young children today. Knapp Miniature Farms had an open house and the horses and babies were available for visitors to see and touch. Huck was very calm and enjoyed having them around him.

Midnight Beauty had her first event today. Lisa took her to Kids' Camp in Indiana today to visit with children who are learning how to care for animals and have compassion for them. She did a wonderful job! I've got two amazing little babies coming to me to bring joy to others.
PS Yes, her color is changing. It's one of the joys of the first year! Once she is clipped she should return to black.

I'm so excited to share the first set of volunteer shirts and hats created for us by Ramona Connor of Blessed Bee the Name. She is so wonderful and talented.
